CHARITY WORK EXPERIENCE
On the 29th of November Sarah, Abbie and I did a Charity lunch in aid of temple street hospital with Alison Stanley. It is an annual lunch she runs every year in aid of this hospital and she picked us to be helpers at the Lunch .
We met the day before to help her organise the goody bags and set out all the auction prizes and raffles. I had never done something like this before was it was a great experience. The day of the Lunch we had to meet early and get to our stations in advance of people arriving. I loved looking at all the dresses that the ladies were wearing. I could no Believe the amount of people that were there . At 12:00 in the afternoon they sat down in the ballroom in the intercontinental hotel.
It was a great set up. Our first task was to go round to all the tables and give out the first raffle prizes and tickets. I got chatting to lots of people at different tables which was great. We then had to give out prizes and and bring people to the collection points.
I then had to collect donations from people and help spot people for the auction. I was a very long lunch it lasted until 6:00 .
All the ladies seemed to enjoy them selfs. At the end Miriam o Challaghan said a speech and slowly everybody started to make their way home. It was a great event that raised so much money in aid for the children and is such a great achievement to be part of it.
