CARLINGFORD ADVENTURE CENTRE

Carlingford was a trip everybody was waiting for after the musical. Everybody was so upset that the musical was over and Carlingford was a great way for everybody to bond before going back to school. After and hour and 45 minute drive we had arrived to Louth. Everybody packed as if we were going away for a month .... including me . Big thank you goes to Ms Ni Mhairtin and Ms Alymer who got the girls two rooms so we were split half and half. It was a great idea and no girls were left out.
The activities were unbelievable there was zip lining , high ropes, sky park, lazer tag, crystal maze team activities, boats, pier jumping, and evening activities. We were split into groups and each day we did something new. The instructors were great and were easy to talk to they also really pushed us to our limits at the sky park and high ropes. They made sure we went as far as we could go and feeling comfortable at the same time. My favourite part was the heights. I am not afraid at all . Although some activities were challenging such as high ropes. You had to climb certain things and complete a task high in the air connected to a harness. When I accomplished it with my group it was great and you got such an adrenaline rush after.
In the evening we all sat in the games room until 10:30 and chatted about everything and the day we all had together. After that we went to our rooms and relaxed. We had a projector in our room so we all fell asleep looking at old photos and videos of when we were younger. There was never a time when I was not enjoying myself. There were so many team bonding activities even waking to our destination we all had to help each other in some way. The trip went so fast. It felt like 1 night instead of 4. It just showed that time flys when your having fun.
The bus ride home was so sad as we left Louth as we all knew we would be returning back to school and going back to classes. But we are looking forwards to our difference days and Esker which our coming up this years. Carlingford was a great trip and again was great to bring our year closer as a unit. I enjoyed every minute of it !
